Dale LeRoy Alberts was born in Douglas, Wyoming on May 22, 1952, to Henry Eugene Alberts and Betty Lou (Tiedt) Alberts and passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Oct. 11, 2014. He was raised in Douglas, graduating from Converse County High School in 1970. Following graduation he attended Casper College and the University of Wyoming earning degrees in biological sciences and business administration. Dale's life-long career was in the mining industry in Wyoming, Oklahoma and Wisconsin, beginning as an underground miner for Rio Algom, Casper, Wyoming and ultimately holding the position of President of Nicolet Minerals in Crandon, Wisconsin. During his mining career he traveled extensively in the U. S. and internat ionally. After the Crandon mine closed, Dale worked for Snap-On Tools in Wisconsin. He retired in 2010 and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2013.
Dale was married to Theresa DePietro in Douglas, Wyoming on June 14, 1975 and they had two children, Erik Michael and Kevin Paul. His second w ife was Barb Brosius. He married Melanie Kathleen Parks in Oklahoma Cit y, Oklahoma on December 9, 1994.
Dale was preceded in death by his father, Henry E. Alberts, his sister, Deborah D. Alberts, and a son Kevin P. Alberts.
He is survived by his mother, Betty L. Alberts of Douglas; wife Melanie of Tulsa; son Erik M. Alberts (Crystal) and grandchildren Brayden H. L. Alberts and Rylie M. Alberts, all of Casper, Wyoming; stepdaughter Lindsay Kierig Goodson (Joshua) and step-grandchildren Piper R. Goodson, Augustus G. Goodson and Channing G. Goodson, all of Earlsboro, Okla.; step daughter Kimber A. Kierig of Oklahoma City; brother-in-law Robert H. Parks, Jr. and sister-in-law Patricia A. Parks of Tulsa; nephew Robert H. P arks III and niece Rebecca K. Parks of Arlington, Va.; uncle Donald R. Tiedt of Corpus Christi, Texas and numerous other family members.
His ashes will be scattered on Laramie Peak at a later date and a marker will be placed in the family plot in Douglas Park Cemetery.
