1930 Wisconsin Census hadss the name as Vera Winters, mother Jane who is divorced, living with Adeline Wintermute.

She was an illegitimate child. Her natural father's last name was Lemke and he was from Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. She was born as Hannah Electrele Wintermute. Not sure when her first name was changed to Vera.

Port Huron-- Vera H. Sugrue, 75, died Tuesday, Aug 29, 1989. She is survived by a son, James Sugrue and two daughters, Marsha Harsh and Maureen McCellan. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Lakeside Cemetery Chapel. Visiting is 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the ArthurSmith Funeral Home-South Chapel.
