DOIDGE, Harry M.- Of Burton, age 68, died Sunday, September 18, 1988 at St. Joseph Hospital. Funeral services will be held 10 am Wednesday, September 21, 1988 at Raysin Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Rev. Harold K. Polk officiating. Burial in Millington Cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association. A Memorial service will be conducted by Davison Masonic Lodge # 236 F & AM at 7 pm Tuesday. Graveside services will be conducted by Davison V.F.W. Post # 4087. Mr. Doidge was born in Petersburg, Indiana May 6, 1921 the son of Charles and Jerie Doidge. He married Eileen Soward in Flint, January 28, 1956. He had been a resident of Flint most of his life. He attended Calvary Presbyterian Church EPC, was a member of Davison Lodge # 236 F & AM, Davison Chapter # 299 Order of Eastern Star, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Lodge Council Chapter Consistory, Elf Khurafeh Temple and life member of V.F.W. Post # 4087, member of D.A.V. Chapter # 3. He was in the United States Navy C.B.'s in World War ll from 1942 to 1946. He was employed by Grand Truck for several years, then employed by Operating Engineers Local # 324 and United Transportation Union # 1736. Surviving are: wife Eileen; 1 son, Robert Hosmer; daughter, Lee and husband Robert Coughlin of Davison; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
