Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, September 15, 2003 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Rev. Roger Gedcke officiating with burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 6-9 PM and Sunday from 2-9 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany United Methodist Church. Maxine was born May 24, 1926 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Murt and Annabelle Schooley. She had resided in the Birch Run area most of her life. She was a 1944 Kearsley High School Graduate. Maxine married Robert E. Day July 1, 1944 in Birch Run. He preceded her in death September 2, 2001. She was formerly employed by the Clio State Bank, Frankenmuth Bank and Trust and retired from National City. Maxine was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and former member of the Birch Run United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, being around people and spending time with friends. Surviving are: son, Bradley (Carla) Day of Detroit; 3 grandchildren, Paul Day, Carrie Day and Brittany Waters; sister, Evelyn Belote. Maxine was also preceded in death by her 4 brothers, Abdon Osborne, Clarence, Wesley and Elmer Moore and sister, Dorothy Strachen.

PIGGOTT -- Evelyn Schooley Belote, 77, of Piggott died Saturday, Oct. 1, at Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Born at Flint, Mich., she graduated from Kersley High School and was employed at Pontiac General Hospital as a laboratory office supervisor until 1969, before returning to Piggott. She was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd Belote of Piggott; three sons, Randy Belote and James Belote, both of Piggott, and Tom Belote of Wichita, Kan.; two daughters, Jean Hartshorn of Ellsinore, Mo. and Cyndi Nicolini of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Finch; her parents, Murt and Annabell Dennis Schooley; and six brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Piggott Cemetery, with James Turner officiating. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Mr. Moore served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWll in the Pacific Theatre. Elmer worked as a construction superintendent for J.A. Utley Construction Company for many years, supervising the construction of buildings in the Flint and Lansing areas. He retired in January of 1981 from Giffels Associates, Inc. of Southfield, MI. Mr.Moore is survived by: daughters, Elaine (Ronald) Kelsey of Flint. Leona (David) Williamson of Elba; sisters, Maxine Day of Clio, Evelyn (Floyd) Belote of AK; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Goldie; son, Robert, brothers, Wesley, Clarence and Abdon; and sister, Dorothy.
