Mrs. Joan Johnson, daughter of Mrs. O. Kentfield, of 8 Fitzroy Street, Sandown, sailed on the "Samaria" for Canada on Saturday with her three children. Mrs. Johnson, who has been staying with her mother for a three month holiday returns to her home in Brantford, Ontario.

ALLAN, TERRANCE NELLIS - Peacefully at his home, after a brief illness on November 1, 1999, in his 53rd year; dear father of Jennifer and Leslie; loving grandfather of Destiny. He will also be sadly missed by his former wife Pamela Allan; his mother Marguerite Davidson; his sisters Glenna and her husband Jeff Grantham, and Gail and her husband Tom Aniol; his good friend Paul Krick; also his nieces, nephews and friends; predeceased by his father Gaylord Allan. Terry was a tool and die maker, drove for City Taxi for many years and was member of the Gunners Club. Friends will be received at the Hill & Robinson Funeral Home, Nelson and Queen Streets on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to Camp Trillium / Rainbow Lake or the Juvenile Diabetes Association.

Mrs. Cain attended services at the Purchase Line United Methodist Church for more than 40 years.
On May 4, 1946, she married Alvin M. Cain.
She had worked as bookeeper for the Salem National Bank. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and working in her gardens growing flowers and African violets. Mrs. Cain was a hard worker, spending time assisting with work on the family farm. Her hobbies included crossword puzzles and visiting flea markets and auctions.
She also liked spending time with her favorite German shepherd, Teddy.
She is survived vy her husband, Alvin M. Cain, Cherry Tree; two daughters, Marguerite Cain-Norriis and husband John Norris, of New Jersey, and Carolyn E. Pearce and David John Pearce, Sr. of Burnside; four grandchildren: Lawrence (Sam) Beluschok, Jr., Donald H. Dooley Jr., Crystal Kinnan and David John Pearce,Jr.; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Cain was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Lucreda Dilks; and her brother Samuel Hale.
Firends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Rairigh Funeral Home Ltd., Hillsdale, where a 1 p.m. funeral serice will be held immediately following the visitation Saturday with the Rev. Carl White officiating. Interment will follow at the Thompson Cemetery, Hillsdale.
