Yvonne Marie Quandt, age 86 born April 15, 1929 passed away peacefully in the Sanilac County Medical Care Facility on Tuesday, March 8, 2016.

She is preceded in death by her husband August Quandt.

She is survived by her children Eddie (Bev) Quandt of Auburn, Ga., Rich ard (Lori) Quandt of Irons, Mich., Jerry Quandt of Attica, Kathy (Dave) Salters of Melvin, and Steve Quandt of Peck; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and one sister Maxine (Charles) Lang of Sommerville, Ala.

A memorial service was held at the United Methodist Church in Melvin.

Harold (Mike) Westover was a Mechanic.⁵ Harold "Mike" Westover of Silverwood died Monday, September 28, 1987 at Caro Community Hospital, he was 83. Mr. Westover was born June 1, 1904 at Marlette, the son of Jacob and Martha (Foster) Westover. He married the former Edna Cowles on August 6, 1927 at Turner, Michigan and resided at Silverwood for 61 years. He had been a mechanic with Maiers Motor Freight of Mayville and Vassar from 1949 to 1966 and was also formerly employed by People's Gas & Oil Co. of Mayville. He was a member of the Teamsters and Michigan Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife Edna of Silverwood; two daughters, Harriet (Mrs. Ray) O'Brien and Lois (Mrs. Bud) Walker, both of Mayville; 8 grandchildren; and 23 great - grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, three sisters and a granddaughter, Sandra Lynn Walker, in 1959.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, October 1 at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Mayville. The Rev. William Maynard will officiate with burial in the West Burlington Cemetery, Lapeer County. Arrangements were by the Tiffin Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Silverwood United Methodist Church.

Edna M. Cowles was born on 13 June 1907 in Lapeer County, Michigan.³ She was married between 1927 and 1928. She and Harold (Mike) Westover were married on 6 August 1927 in Silverwood, Lapeer, Michigan.² She died on 1 September 2001, at age 94, in Tuscola County, Michigan.³ She was buried in West Burlington Cemetery, Silverwood, Lapeer, Michigan.²

Edna Westover of Silverwood died Saturday, September 1, 2001 at the Fisher Convalescent Home in Mayville. She was 94.
Edna Cowles was born June 13, 1907 and resided in Silverwood all of her life. She married Harold Westover on August 6, 1927 in Silverwood and shared 60 years of marriage. She retired from the United States Postal Service at Silverwood after 15 years of service and was a member of the Silverwood United Methodist Church for 80 years.
She loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters: Harriet and husband Raphael O'Brien, and Lois and husband Bud Walker, all of Mayville; eight grandchildren: Christal, Daniel, David, Theresa, Tim, Floyd, Pat and Larry; 28 great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 1987; a granddaughter, Sandra Walker; and two brothers, Lloyd and Leonard Cowles.
Funeral services are 11 a.m., Thurs., September 6 at the Silverwood United Methodist Church. The Rev. John Ball is officiating, with interment at West Burlington Cemetery, Silverwood. Arrangements were made by Avram Funeral Home, 6028 Lincoln St., Mayville; 989-843-5441.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mayville Area Ambulance Service, Mayville Fire Department, or Silverwood United Methodist Church.

* I'm entering this birth record here in these notes only, as clearly something is wrong with this. It would make Horace a twin to Charles Alvin Westover, both born to the same parents on the same day, 03 May 1874, but in different counties (Charles born in Sanilac County, while Horace shown born in Burnside, Lapeer County). Furthermore I haven't found anything going forward for Horace so am assuming that this record is incorrect and there was no Horace.
On the other hand it is possible that this is only an error in recording the "name" and this is actually the birth of Charles Alvin and place of birth could be Burnside, Lapeer, noting his sister Emma Jane was born in Burnside, Lapeer.
