Alice Ellen Adams, of Gridley, CA, born to Charles Patrick and Elsie May Curtin in Mason City, Iowa. She completed her schooling and two years of junior college in Mason City. She met and married Clarence Joseph Adams (from Gridley) in May 1943. They were married 51 years. Alice was active in the Gridley Presbyterian Church, Women's Club, Garden Club, Pink Ladies, Thursday Circle, UC Home Extension, Pearl Harbor Survivors Association and the McDonald's Coffee Group. Alice played golf for many years. Other favorites were traveling and See's chocolates.

Survivors include her daughter, Sally of Gridley; son, Jim (Linda) of Gridley; and Michael/ "Buzz" (Jeanette) of Sacramento; sister, Mary Ann Reindl of Mason City, Iowa; and one grandson, Sam of Sacramento.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and two sisters.

Elida June Hammons was born on 1 September 1922 in Meridith, Cloud, Kansas.^1,2 She and Ralph Albert Cobeen Adams were married on 23 February 1938 in Yuba City, Sutter, California.¹ She died on 31 December 1993, at age 71, in Helena, Lewis and Clark, Montana.¹
