3 Genevieve Mary Campbell, 89, formerly of Sidney, Nebraska, died Sunday, January 6, 2013, at the Valley View Villa Care Center in Ft. Morgan, CO.
Genevieve was born September 22, 1923 in Posen, Michigan, to Warren and Nellie Page.
She married Orian H. Campbell in Alpena, Michigan, in 1944, he died in 1991. In her earlier years she worked as a teacher in the Detroit area.
Genevieve moved to Ft. Morgan about 4 years ago from Sidney, NE, to be closer to her family.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the St. Charles Episcopal Church in Ft. Morgan.
Genevieve enjoyed working in her flower garden. She was a poet and had several of her poems published. Genevieve had also written a book that she was putting the finishing touches on at the time of her death.
Survivors include one son, Douglas Campbell of Gering, Nebraska; two daughters, Valerie Kucharski of Scottsville, New York, and Gloria Olsen and husband, Tom, of Ft. Morgan; one brother, Jack Page and wife, Helen, and two sisters, May Little and Pat Kennedy, all of Alpena, Michigan; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Dorothy Blizzard and Margaret Brown and one brother, Charles Page.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, January 10, 2013, from 2 until 4 p.m. at the Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 11, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Charles Episcopal Church in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney, Nebraska.
Friends who wish may make memorial gifts in Genevieve's name in care of the Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan.
