A former Crooksville resident, Mrs. Almeda Milligan, 97, of 1558 Minnesota avenue, Columbus, died at 8:30 o'clock Saturday morning at her home following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Milligan ws born Jan. 17, 1861 in Perry county, a daughter of Joseph and Henrietta Brown Driggs. Her husband, T. C. Milligan, died 30 years ago.

She was a member of the Croooksville Methodist church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harry Warren of Columbus and Mrs. Nellie Matheny of Dayton; three brothers, Frank Driggs of Columbus, James Driggs and G. S. Driggs of Crooksville, a sister, Flora Brown of Crooksville; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The body ws removed to DeLong and Baker funeral home where friends may call.

Services will be held at 1 o'clock this afternoon at the funeral home with Rev. Tucker of Crooksville Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Deavertown cemetery.

Mr. Driggs retired from active farming in 1945. He attended Deavertown Methodist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elsie M. Tatman of Crooksville Route 1; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tillie, in 1959, four brothers, two sisters and a son.

Friends may call at Crooksville Chapel of Fred L. Cannon and Sons Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.

Services willbe held at 2 p.m. Wednesday atthe funeral home with Rev. Earse Mauler officiating. Interment will be in the Crooksville Mausoleum.
