4 Duane James Kingsbury, 82, of Prescott, Ariz., passed away peacefully in his home on Jan. 15, 2010.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his four children, Deborah, Randy, Greg and Sara; grandchildren Lisa, Faith, Hali, Marcel and Alex; and great-grandchildren Chloe, Rae and Kyle. He is also survived by stepchildren Debbie, Wayne, Wesley and Wade; step-grandchildren Samantha, Travis, Rebecca, Allen, Andy, Jana and Charly; and brother Richard. He was cherished and loved by all. The love that was felt for him and from him extended to many beyond his family.
Duane was born to Archie and Ruth Kingsbury on Sept. 4, 1927, in Flint, Mich. He moved with his family to Arizona when he was still a child. He graduated from Litchfield High School and attended Arizona State University. He took pride in his service with the U.S. Army.
His true passion in his career was realized during his 25 years in law enforcement, the last 10 years of which were devoted to Special Investigations Task Force against organized crime and land fraud. He touched the lives of so many through his work and throughout his life. He will be remembered for his amazing creativity, humor, compassion and a genuine love of life.
He will be more than missed....
A Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at the First Baptist Church, 148 S. Marina St., Prescott, AZ 86301. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
