Wintermute-Lorne Andy Webster of R.R. 6 St. Thomas, passed away on Saturday, April 26th, 2014, at the Valleyview Home, St. Thomas, in his 76th year.
Dearly loved husband of over 52 years of Elizabeth "Betty" Lynn (Winter) Wintermute and loved father of Kathy and her partner Allan Swick of Union and Lorna and her husband Jamie Calvert of St. Thomas. Much loved grandfather of Jay (Lindsay), Chelsea (fiancé Ben), Maggy, Becky and the late Ricky and Kelsey, Connor and Cameron. Dear brother of Elva Robinson of St. Thomas and the late Huron and Ellis Wintermute. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews.
Lorne was born in Dorchester on March 18th, 1939, the son of the late Roy and Eula (Cloes) Wintermute.
He was retired from Wolverine Tube, London after 41 years of service. Lorne was a member of St. Thomas Lodge #546 A.F. and A.M. He enjoyed Country Music. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow, with private interment of ashes in Christ Church Cemetery, Glanworth. Visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home by Officers and Members of St. Thomas Lodge #546 on Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. Remembrances may be made to S.I.D.S. or the Valleyview Home Recreation Program.
