Elizabeth (Bette) J. Sprague was born on 6 September 1923 in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan.1 She and Donald Roy Bleiler were married on 19 August 1950 in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan. She died on 1 March 2011, at age 87.1 She was buried in Oakland Cemetery, Freeport, Stephenson, Illinois.1
Elizabeth "Bette" J. Sprague Bleiler, 87, of Freeport passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Provena St. Joseph Home, Freeport.

Bette was born Sept. 6, 1923, in Detroit, Mich., she was a daughter of Richard and Helen (White) Sprague. Bette married Donald R. Bleiler on Aug. 19, 1950, in Detroit. Donald preceded her in death Feb. 13, 1997.

She worked at Temprite and Eaton Corporation as a billing clerk prior to her marriage to Don Bleiler.

In 1968, the Bleilers moved from Berkley, Mich., to Freeport.

Surviving are her daughter, Karen (Muggy) OConnell of Freeport; stepson, William Bleiler of Jackson, Mich.; stepdaughter, Lynne Nadolski of Stockton, Calif.; six stepgrandchildren, Danny OConnell, Mary OConnell, Heather (Arron) Penticoff, Jeff (Amy) Bleiler, Toni Vellmure and Chris Nadolski; her brother, David (Carol) Sprague of Crossville, Tenn.; and sister, Sharon (John) Robinson of Lubbock, Texas; special friend, Betty (Mike) Sopcic of Freeport and her extended family at Provena St. Joseph Home.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and brother, Burton Sprague.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 6, at Walker Mortuary. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, at Walker Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Schroeder officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum in Freeport.
