Christian Franklin Wintemute was born on 26 November 1876 in Port Colbourne, Lincoln, Ontario, Canada. He died on 13 July 1965, at age 88. He was buried Cremated.1

Passed away on Tuesday, July 13th, Mr. Franklin C. Wintemute, aged 83 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Grace Wintemute, New Westminster, B.C., formerly of Fort Macleod. Born in Lincoln County, Port Colbourne, Ontario. He married Grace Edith Andrews in Buffalo, N.Y. in 1900 and came west in 1905 to the Frank slide area, working as a photographer. In 1905 he took out a homestead in the Waterton district, South Macleod, where he lived until moving to Fort Macleod in 1929, owned a photography shop which he operated until retiring in 1947. In 1943 they moved to Vancouver, B.C. Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Harold E. Wintemute, Lethbridge; a daughter, Mrs. C. M. (Viola) Carroll, Port Coquithum, B.C.; four grandchildren. The funeral service will be held in Trinity United Church, Friday at 2 p.m.. Rev. W. Julian officiating. Cremation. Eden's Funeral Home, Fort Macleod, in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Edith Wintemute, beloved mother of Mrs. Viola Carrol of Port Coquitlam, B.C., and Harold Elmer Wintemute of Lethbridge who died Monday, April 22, at New Westminster, B.C., at the age of 90, was held Friday, April 26, at the Woodland Funeral Home, New Westminster. Mrs. Wintemute was born March 27, 1878, in Lake City, Penn. She lived in Fort Macleod from 1906 to 1945, where during the latter part of these years the late Frank Wintemute owned and operated a photo studio in a portion of the building presentl occupied by the Java Shop. They retired and moved to New Westminster, B.C., where Mrs. Wintemute resided until passing.

Sherrolyne Ruth Wilcox passed away peacefully Sunday, April 8, 2012 in Edmonton, Alberta, with her family near her. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Herb, with sons Kaydon and Leeron, granddaughters Kourtney and Kali, her brother Kirk. Sherry was born April 7, 1943 in Fort MacLeod, Alberta to Harold and Ruth Wintemute along with her brothers Wayne and Kirk. Sherry and Herb have been living ouside of Beaver Lodge, Alberta, for the past 35 years, where she had been actively involved in the community. As per her request a funeral will not be held. A celebration of life will occur at the family farm at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of the Beaverton Hospital Foundation.
