Peron-At her home in Hungerford township, Saturday, May 18, of asthma, Esther, the wife of James Peron, aged 47years. The deceased had suffered with asthma for the past twelve years, but her illness had only assumed a serious aspect during the last four weeks. She had been a resident of this county for thirteen years and was well known and loved by a large circle in the community where she lived. The funeral occured Sunday, the services being held at the Soule school house.

James Heinrich Peron was born on 2 August 1838 in Kinderhook, Columbia, New York.¹ He and Esther Priscilla Chase were married on 12 February 1865 in Cedar County, Iowa. He died in 1899, at age ~61, in Tipton, Cedar, Iowa.¹ He was buried in Lincoln Cemetery, Hinton, Plymouth, Iowa.¹

James William (Will) Chase was a Farmer.³ James William "Will" Chase was the son of Nathan Chase and Nancy Mariah Ramsower Chase. Soon after his birth, the family moved to Bates County, Missouri where many family members lived. Will had a younger sister Ida Jane who died at age 23 and a brother George Evan Chase. He married Martha White in 1889 and they had six children. In 1900 the family moved to Woodward County, Oklahoma and then in 1910 to Pawnee County, Oklahoma where he lived until his death.

Ida Jane Chase was born in 1873 in Bates County, Missouri. She and D. Bryon Johnson were married on 7 October 1888 in Bates County, Missouri. She died about 1896 in Missouri.¹

Martha Custis White was born on 8 October 1871 in Bates County, Missouri.¹ She and James William (Will) Chase were married on 15 December 1889 in Bates County, Missouri.^2,1 She died on 22 September 1972, at age 100, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Oklahoma. She was buried in Fairfax Cemetery, Fairfax, Osage, Oklahoma.
