2 Ron, of Mason, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 3, 2011. He was born to Zelest and Marella Andreas, who predecease him, and lived all but three years in Mason.
Although Ron experienced many serious health setbacks, his positive attitude and faith in the Lord were very evident to all who knew and loved him. In his earlier years, Ron won many trophies drag racing his 68' Dodge Dart, which was still in his possession. Restoring antique tractors was a real passion and riding his tractor over the Mackinac Bridge as a member of the All Color Antique Tractor Club was a highlight of the past few years.
Ron worked as a journeyman plumber/pipefitter/welder and was a proud member of Local Union 333 for 33 years. He was a lifelong active member of the Eden United Brethren Church serving the Lord to the best of his abilities.
Ron's time with his children and grandchildren brought him much joy. He also enjoyed extensive traveling with his wife, attending numerous gospel music concerts, hunting, and fishing. He was always a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Ron is survived by his wife of 33 years Linda (Horton) Andreas; son Troy (Michelle) Andreas of Perrysburg, Ohio; daughter Tara (Austin) Williams of Lakeview, Michigan; grandchildren Alyssa and Alayna Williams; Zachary and William Andreas; brother Tom (Margaret) Andreas of Olivet, Michigan; and sister Jeannette (Vernon) Starr of Mason, Michigan.
