Louis Edward Behan was born on 13 November 1912 in Three Rivers, Saint Joseph, Michigan.2 He and Wilma Eleanor Webb were married about 1936.1 He died on 2 November 2013, at age 100, in Temperance, Monroe, Michigan.2 He was buried in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Resurrection Cemetery, Temperance, Monroe, Michigan.2

Louis E. Behan was born November 13, 1912, and completed life's journey on Saturday, November 2, 2013, just 11 days short of his 101st birthday. He was born in Three Rivers, MI to Casper H. and Matilda (Brosmer) Behan, the third of nine children and the last survivor.

Louis attended Macomber High School and was a WWII U.S. Army veteran, landing in France where he was wounded. He was a member of Lambertville Post #9656 and Conn-Weissenberger American Legion Post #587. Louis retired from The DeVilbiss Company after 42 years as a stripper in the rubber plant. He was a founding member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance, MI. Louis was an avid hunter with deer hunting being his greatest joy. He also enjoyed golf, bowling, and coaching 3B Baseball.

He was also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Wilma E. (Webb) Behan; granddaughter, Julie Martin; grandson, Robbie Martin, and son-in-law, Paul Martin.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Carolyn Martin of Erie, MI, Barbara (Robert) Schmitt of Maumee, OH, Judy (Donald) Turner of Holland, OH, and Michael (Debra) Behan of Temperance; grandchildren, Paula Schings, Michael Martin, Ryan Schmitt, Tara McGrath, Chad Turner, Tiffany Baldwin, Troy Behan, Trevor Behan; 17 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. -

The family will be receiving visitors Tuesday, November 5, 2013, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI. Gathering for the Funeral Mass will begin Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Narthex (adjacent to Bedford Funeral Chapel), with Mass beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
