Delbert L. Niemeier was born on 31 March 1919 in Beatrice, Gage, Nebraska.2,1 He and Gladys Loren Mohr were married on 29 October 1944 in Columbus, Platte, Nebraska. He died on 13 December 2007, at age 88.2 He was buried in Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice, Gage, Nebraska.21

Delbert L. Niemeier, 88 years of age, of Beatrice, NE. passed away at the Parkview Center in Beatrice Thursday morning, December 13, 2007. He was born on March 31, 1919 at Beatrice, NE. to Fred and Ida (Buss) Niemeier. He was a 1937 graduate of Beatrice High School. He farmed west of Beatrice from 1937-1942 and then from 1945 to 1963. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps from 4-16-1942 until 12-9-1945 in the American Theater. He was a navigator in a B-29 and was also an instructor, leaving the military a 2nd Lt. He and Gladys Mohr were married on October 29, 1944 in Columbus, NE. In 1963 he began working for the Community Action in Fairbury, NE. and then was named the State Director of the Nebraska Green Thumb Organization, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the First Trinity Lutheran Church, R. Beatrice and had served as an elder, on the school board, and the Financial Secretary at the church. He was a member of the Bitting-Norman Post #27, American Legion and the Geddes-Thober Post #1077, Veterans Of Foreign Wars; the Farmers Union; 4-H; the ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out); and had been a reading tutor at the Beatrice High School. He enjoyed sports, meeting and eating out with friends, and collected military memorabilia. He was very proud of his grandchildren's accomplishments.

Survivors include 2 sons, David J. Niemeier and wife Rosemary of R. Beatrice, and Robert F. Niemeier and wife Debra of Omaha, NE.; 2 daughters Jeanne M. Lorenzen and husband Richard of Lincoln, and Sarah A. Morris and husband Arthur of Beatrice; 5 grandchildren, John Niemeier and Pam Niemeier, both of Beatrice, Robbyn Roberts and husband John of Montgomery, Alabama, Jessica Morris of Austin, TX., and Beth MacLeod and husband Jason of Lenexa, KS.; 2 great grandchildren; sisters Laura Niemeier of Beatrice and Evelyn Bede and husband Robert of La Porte, Indiana; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Ida (Buss) Niemeier; wife Gladys Niemeier (1994); 3 sisters, Erina Othmer, Frieda Niemeier, and Luella Paul.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Monday, December 17, 2007 at the First Trinity Lutheran Church, R. Beatrice with Reverend David Brinkmeyer officiating. Interment will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday at the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice, NE. Military graveside services will be provided by Bitting-Norman Post #27, American Legion in Beatrice. The body will lie in state Sunday from 11-9:00 P.M. and Monday until 12:30 P.M. at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice and not at the church. A family prayer service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice. A memorial has been established to the Bitting-Norman Post #27, American Legion, Geddes-Thober Post #1077, Veterans Of Foreign Wars, and the Veterans Memorial Park, all in Beatrice with the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice in charge. Dolores (Dee) Lavonne Albers was born on 19 August 1928 in Platte County, Nebraska.1 She and Gordon Dean Harley were married on 18 August 1947 in Chambers, Holt, Nebraska.3 She died on 2 May 2009, at age 80, in Springfield, Lane, Oregon.1 She was buried in Springfield Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Lane, Oregon.1
SPRINGFIELD - Dolores L. "Dee" Harley of Springfield died May 2 of age-related causes. She was 80. A private graveside service is planned.
She was born Aug. 19, 1928, in Platte County, Neb., to Joseph and Anna Rippen Albers. She married Gordon Harley on Aug. 18, 1947, in Chambers, Neb.
She and her husband owned and operated Pacific Auto Supply in Springfield and Eugene until 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Robert of Portland and Gayle of Eugene; a daughter, Jackie Gish of Portland; and four grandchildren. Her husband died Jan. 15, 1999.
Arrangements by Andreason's Cremation & Burial Service in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Greenhill Humane Society.
