Robert Harry Hoover was born on 17 August 1926 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.1,2 He and Margaret (Peggy) Rose Kintz were married on 27 December 1950 in Vigo County, Indiana. He died on 13 September 1981, at age 55, in Scottsdale, Maricopa, Arizona.2 He was buried in Calvary Cemetery, Terre Haute, Vigo, Indiana.2

Biography

Charles John Hoover was born on 16 April 1930 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.1 He and Carol Ann Cotton were married on 16 June 1951 in Vigo County, Indiana, St. Stephens Episcopal Church. He died on 25 January 2014, at age 83, in Fort Myers, Lee, Florida.2 He was buried in St. Michael &All Angles Episcopal Church, Sanibel, Lee, Florida, Cremated.
Charles John Hoover was educated in Purdue University Chemical Engineering.2 He was in Dupomt Chemical Company/ Eli Lilly and Company.2 Charles J. Hoover

Charles John Hoover, 83, formerly of West Lafayette, died January 25, 2014.

He was married to Nancy Hoover for 10 years. She survives. Previously he was married to Carol Hoover for 49 years who is deceased.

He was born on April 16, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and spent his youth in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was a 1951 graduate of Purdue University majoring in Chemical Engineering. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity and the Gimlet organization. He served in the Army at the Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah. After being honorably discharged in 1954, he began working at Dupont Chemical Company in Charleston, West Virginia. He then moved to Indiana and worked for 31 years with Eli Lilly and Company, mostly in West Lafayette. He retired in 1988.

He was involved with Habitat for Humanity, Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation, Rotary, and St. Michael's Episcopal Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John Hoover (Donna) and Tom Hoover (Sally); two stepsons, Clyde Brant (Jennifer) and Jeff Sommer; six grandchildren, Laura Santiago (Omar), Sarah Hartmann (Michael), Abby Hoover, Hilary Hoover, Grant Hoover, Griffin Hoover; five step grandchildren, Constance Sommer, Nicholas Sommer, Colin Brant, Kate Brant, Alexander Brant; two step great grandchildren, Kennya Santiago, Karen Santiago.

A memorial service and reception will be held at 1:00pm on February 15th at Sanibel Community Church on Sanibel Island, Florida.
