Samuel Dunn, 92, of Bonfield, retired Herscher businessman, died Thursday (Feb. 19, 1992) at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
Visitation will be at the Orrison-Schreffler Funeral Home in Herscher from 9 a.m. Saturday until the services there at 11 a.m. Saturday. His son-in-law, the Rev. Eugene Zorbas will officiate.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born March 18, 1899 in Onarga, the son of William and Jennie Empey Dunn.
Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel Goodrich, whom he married Sept. 10, 1917, in Kankakee; a son, Daniel of Kansas, two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary and the Rev. Eugene Zorbas and Alberta Conley, all of Lowell, Ind; a daughter-in-law, Elsie Dunn of Hammond, Ind.; 20 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two sons, L:loyd and James and a daughter, Doris.
Mr. Dunn was the former owner and operator of Dunn's Restaurant in Herscher.

Daniel was born February 6, 1935, in Hammond, Indiana, the son of Samuel and Hazel (Goodrich) Dunn. He married Cindy (Brandt) Whittaker on December 11, 1993 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Elizabeth, IL.
Daniel worked maintenance at MMC Manufacturing in Kankakee, IL for 13 years. He was the former owner of two restaurants in Kankakee, IL and Herscher, IL. Daniel was quite the handyman, sort of a "jack of all trades". He also enjoyed woodworking. Daniel was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, District 55, in Joliet, IL.
Daniel will be dearly missed by his wife, Cindy, of Hanover, Illinois; one daughter, Crissa (Chris) Lord of Hanover, IL; two sisters, Mary Zorbas of Indiana and Bertie Conley of Indiana; his mother-in-law, Erma Brandt of Elizabeth, IL; two sisters-in-law, Linda (Bob) Schuepbach of Machesney Park, IL, and Bonnie (Phil) Johnson of Machesney Park, IL; and two grandchildren.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lloyd Dunn and Jim Dunn; and one sister, Doris Dunn.
