Obituary

Neola Pearl Wickoren, 91, Minneapolis, formerly of Mitchell, died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at St. Anthony Health Care Center, Minneapolis. She was born on June 5, 1921.

Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Burial will be at a later date in Mitchell. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday.

She was born to Neal and Viola (Pogue) Griffin. On Dec. 25, 1940, she married Calvin Faircloth. While he served overseas in World War II, she and their daughter lived with her mother in Minneapolis. In 1969, they moved to California, where they lived for five years. They then moved to Mitchell, where Chuck died a few months later.

In August 1984, she married a friend of a friend, Stanley Wickoren, and then moved to Minneapolis. Stan died in 2007.

She is survived by her children: Lola Hormann, Mitchell; Naomi (Sam) Stern, White Bear Lake, Minn.; Calvin Craig, Mille Lacs, Minn.; and Cameron (Wanda) Faircloth, Backus, Minn.; two stepdaughters: Mary Ellen Adams and Bobbi (Mike) Fitzenberger; 19 grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a son-in-law, Al Hormann; two grandsons and a great-grandson;

A special thank you to the staff at St. Anthony Health Care Center and Allina Hospice caregivers. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
