BABCOCK Joann "Mona" Joann "Mona" Babcock, age 82, of Toledo, Ohio, died Monday, February 28, 2011, at Promedica Hospice. Joann was born July 2 1, 1928 to Albert and Delilah DePriest.
Joann worked as a hostess at the Commodore Perry, retiring in 1978. As an Army wife she loved traveling. Her favorite places were France, Switzerland and Berlin, Germany. She was a member of Calvary Bible Chapel and the Order of Eastern Star Toledo Chapter # 341. She was a loving wife , mother and grandmother.
Surviving is her loving husband, Raymond, who she married January 11, 1 947; children, Libby (Robert) Fisher, Peggy (Mike) Kennedy; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Servoss and Sharon " Sue" Maenle; and many special nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Delilah DePriest; brother, Robert DePriest; sister; Helen Sloan and her beloved son, Ray Allen Babcock.
A memorial service celebrating Joann's life will be held at 11 a.m., Fr iday, March 4, 2011 at Calvary Bible Chapel 3740 West Alexis Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623. Burial will be private.
