Donnel L. Dimond was born on 12 October 1946 in Belvidere, Boone, Illinois. He died on 20 July 2014, at age 67, in Williams Bay, Walworth, Wisconsin. He was buried in Belvidere Cemetery, Belvidere, Boone, Illinois.

1 Donnel L. Dimond, 67, of Williams Bay, Wisconsin died Sunday evening, July 20, 2014, in his home after a lingering illness.
Donnel was born October 12, 1946, in Belvidere, IL the son of Leslie F. and Irene H. (Hill) Dimond. He graduated from the UW-LaCrosse with his B.S. Donnell worked for the Rockford Board of Education and then for the City College of Chicago which brought him to Wiesbaden, Germany for 15 years as the Director of IT for the college. Returning to the states, Donnel worked and retired from DePaul University.
He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp; and attended Poplar Grove United Methodist Church when he was home. Donnell was a fan of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, foreign cars and road trips. He was a lover of music, especially guitar; boating, dogs, South Park and electronic technology; Donnel was also an avid sports fan of the Chicago Bears and Bulls. He was a loving grandfather to his grandson, Dylan. Donnel was a leader and sponsor for AA, enjoying 30 years of sobriety.
Donnel is loved and will be missed by his sons, Donn (Renae) Dimond of Portland, OR, Darrin (fianc Katie) Dimond of Chicago; nieces and nephew, Susan (Don) Koneval, Paula (Kurt) Broski, Betsy (Darrel) Cosgray, Nathan (Shelly) Dimond; numerous great nieces, nephews and his four legged companion, Tucker.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2014, in Poplar Grove United Methodist Church, 105 E Grove Street, Poplar Grove, IL with Rev. Christopher Druce Jones officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL. Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery.
