Delores Marie (Dee) Hayward was born on 15 June 1933 in Flint, Genesee, Michigan.1 She died on 14 May 2010, at age 76, in Saint Louis, St. Louis City, Missouri. She was buried on 19 May 2010 in North Fork Cemetery, Long Creek, Macon, Illinois.
Delores Marie (Dee) Bechtel, 76, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2010, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis, MO.

Services to celebrate Dee's life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 19. 2010 in the Chapel of Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor Doug Lowery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. The family requests casual attire for the services. Interment with the "Flight Home" Ceremony will be in North Fork Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Haven House, 12685 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, MO. 63141. Dee was born on June 15, 1933 in Flint, MI., a daughter of Edward and Effie (Dennis) Hayward. She married James L. Bechtel on July 5, 1952 in Decatur. Dee enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband and friends. She was an avid reader. enjoyed flower gardening, puzzle books, crocheting and various hobbies.

She leaves her loving family including husband Jim of almost 58 years, daughters- Kathy Falk and husband Tom. Barbara Joyner and husband Milton both of Decatur, Cheryl Dodge and husband Rory of St. Joseph, sons- James E. Bechtel and wife Teresa of Lakewood, CO., Terry Bechtel and wife
Carmen of Aurora, CO., grandchildren- Karen Becker and husband David, Ellen Bechtel, James Bechtel, Tracy Lott and husband Daniel, Brian Falk, Michael Joyner, Jordan BAllinger, Shawn BAllinger, Zachary Dodge, great grandchildren- Ari and Sara Becker and Kyleigh Lott, one brother and two sisters.

She was greeted in Heaven by her parents.

Dee was a wonderful, loving wife, mom, grandma, great grandma and friend. Her family will love and miss her every day.

Effie Dennis was born on 30 August 1915 in Essexville, Bay, Michigan.1 She and Edward Ladean Hayward were married on 12 September 1932 in Flint, Genesee, Michigan.1,2 She died on 10 August 1992, at age 76, in Decatur, Macon, Illinois.1 She was buried in North Fork Cemetery, Long Creek, Macon, Illinois.1

Effie married Edward Hayward and in the 1950's. The family moved to Decater, Illinois, when Eddie's company closed its Flint operations.

Effie D. Hayward, 76, of Decatur died at 9:05 p.m. Monday (Aug 10, 1992) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery. Memorials; Decatur Genealogical Society.

Mrs. Hayward was born in Essexville, Mich., on Aug 30, 1915, daughter of George and Francis Ruhnau Dennis. Mrs. Hayward was a member of the First Congregational Church and the Decatur Genealogical Society. She married Edward L. Hayward in 1932, He died in 1977.

Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Jim (Delores) Bechtel of Decatur; Mrs. Tom (Lois) Hott of Decatur; Mrs. Jim (Marilyn) Jordan of Decatur; sons, Wayne E. Hayward and wife Debbie of Decatur; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Her husband, son , one brother and one sister preceded her in death.
