Deputies say Lealman man killed neighbor after fight over noisy motorcycle

Pinellas County sheriff's investigators arrested a man Thursday after they say he killed a neighbor following a fight over a noisy motorcycle. James Ellul, 63, was charged with second-degree murder and will be transported to the Pinellas County Jail once he recovers from his own injuries sustained during the fight, deputies said.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Ellul and his neighbor, Jerold Lester Jr., 55, got into an argument at the Sunshine Mobile Home Park, where they live, at 7403 46th Ave. N.

The argument turned physical, and Ellul grabbed a knife, stabbing Lester repeatedly in the side, authorities said. Lester's girlfriend, Kimberly Bordner, tried to break up the fight and was also stabbed in the arm. Lester was transported to the hospital but later died.

Detectives were still interviewing witnesses but said the dispute over the noisy motorcycle had been ongoing.
