Rose Ann Walter, age 80, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013, at Bethany Lutheran Home. Rose was born February 6, 1933, in Logan, Iowa, to Henry and Irene (Peters) Petersen and graduated from Missouri Valley Hig h School. Rose was united in marriage to Billy L. Walter on June 10, 1951, and together farmed in the Honey Creek area. Rose is a devoted wife a nd mother and a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Honey Creek.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Irene; sister, Sally Petersen; husband, Billy in 2010; and son, Levern in 2011.

Rose is survived by daughter, Annette Respeliers and her husband, Tom, of Council Bluffs; son, Gene and his wife, Lora, of Crescent, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Walter, of North Platte, Neb.; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Delores Driver and her husband, Ronnie, of Missouri Valley, Iowa; nieces and nephews.

Levern Alan Walter was born on 13 December 1954 in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie, Iowa.¹ He died on 26 June 2011, at age 56, in North Platte, Lincoln, Nebraska.¹ He was buried in Grange Cemetery, Honey Creek, Pottawattamie, Iowa.¹

Levern "Wally" Alan Walter, 56, of North Platte, passed away June 16, 2011, at North Platte as a result of an accident. He was born Dec. 13, 1 954, to Billy L. and Roseann (Petersen) Walter at Council Bluffs, Iowa. I n 1973, he graduated from Missouri Valley High School and was president of the FFA. In September of 1980, he was employed with Chicago Northwes tern Railroad. Levern spent many years farming and raising hogs until his father's retirement.

On Sept. 25, 1982, Levern was united in marriage to Roberta "Bobbi" McCoy at Council Bluffs, Iowa. He owned and operated Walter Home Repair and Improvement and in 1995, he moved to North Platte and was currently employed by the Union Pacific Railroad as a machinist.

Levern enjoyed fishing with his boys, woodworking, exercising and spending quality time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta "Bobbi," of North Platte; his mother, Roseann Walter, of Cresent, Iowa; children, Alan Walter, of McClella n, Iowa, Brent Walter, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Matt (Heather) Walter, John (Larissa) Walter, all of North Platte, and Holly (Thomas Plunk) Walter, of Lincoln; brother, Gene (Lora) Walter, of Cresent, Iowa; sister, Annette (Tom) Respeliers, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; six grandchildren, Breeanne, Jonathan, Andrew, Adysyn, Kaden and Caleb; and other relatives.

Sophia Marie Walter was born on 1 April 2009 in North Platte, Lincoln, Nebraska.¹ She died on 2 April 2009, at age 0, in North Platte, Lincoln, Nebraska.¹ She was buried in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, North Platte, Lincoln, Nebraska.¹

Sophia Marie Walter was born on April 1, 2009, to John and Larissa Plourd Walter, and was delivered to god on the wings of an angel. She is survived by her parents; a sister, Adysyn; grandparents, Mike and Donna Plourd and Lavern (Wally) and Roberta (Bobbie) Walter; great-grandparents, Anna McCoy and Billy and Roseanne Walter of Crescent, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Sophia was preceded in death by her greatgrandfather Glen McCoy; great grandparents, Henry and Clyta Hrnchir and Alfred and Maude Plourd.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Golka Officiating. Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.
