Madolene Day-Wintamute Madolene Day-Wintamute, 81, died June 15, 2002, at Hospice Residential Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 28, 1920, at Dodge City, the daughter of Forrest and Elsie Rowland Day. She was a retired CMA and CNA at Hutchinson Hospital and Oakwood Villa. She was a former member of Copeland Christian Church. On July 31, 1938, she married David Wintamute at Copeland. He died July 9, 1984.
Survivors include: a special friend, Tif Adams, Hutchinson; a son, Larry, Hutchinson; two daughters, Paula Prior, Wichita, and Ellen Smiley, Hutchinson; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Francis Day; and three sisters, Irene Gary, Lucille Loucks and Juanita Day. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Wayne Pittman presiding. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at Heritage Funeral Home, Hutchinson. Memorials may be sent to the Crossroads Christian Church Building Fund or to Hospice of Reno County, both in care of the funeral home.
