Mr. Brown was born Jan. 24, 1880, in Kalamazoo, Mich. He was a retired fireman and worked on the fire boats for about 40 years. He retired from the fire department eight years ago.

Survivors include two sisters, Grace A. Brown, Penn Yan, N.Y., and Mrs. Ethel Hess, Pulteney, N.Y.
