Evelyn Mae Reekie was born on 12 December 1892 in Ellsworth, Ellsworth, Kansas. She and Russell Drew (Budd) Wintamute were married on 2 January 1911 in Dodge City, Ford, Kanass.1 She was married on 18 April 1944 in Dodge City, Ford, Kansas.2 She died on 9 November 1988, at age 95, in Dodge City, Ford, Kansas.3 She was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City, Ford, Kansas.1,3

FORT DODGE---Mae Wintamute Platt, 95, died Nov. 9, 1988, at Kansas Soldiers Home Hospital, Fort Dodge. Born Mae Reekie Dec. 12, 1892, at Ellsworth, she married Russell D. Wintamute Jan. 2, 1911, at Spearville. She later married Guy Clark Platt April 18, 1944, at Dodge City. He died Jan. 31, 1974. A homemaker, she was a resident of Fort Dodge since 1961. She was a member of First Christian Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxillary, both of Dodge City. Survivors: sons, Howard Wintamute, Dodge City, Warren Wintamute, Hutchinson; daughters, Virginia Shira and Marie Abraham, both of Dodge City, Irene Roney, Sequim, Wash., Lorea Rach, Redmond, Wash.; stepsons, Cecil Platt, Wichita, James Platt, Westminster, Colo., Fay Platt, Denver, Bob Platt, Casa Granoa, Ariz.; steodaughters, Florence Lloyd and Mary Arbogast, both of Dodge City; brothers, W. J. Reekie, Princeton, David Reekie, Ottawa; sisters, Elizabeth Balla, Dodge City, Edna Hamilton, Pomona; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; 23 step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren. Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church, Dodge City, Larry Williams and Mick Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at at Swain Funeral Home, Dodge City.
