Norma Jean Kirkland, 90, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Born on March 27, 1924 in Monongahela, PA to Edward Curtis and Bessie Caldwell Lenhart, Norma was the fourth of five children.

She graduated high school in 1942 and the New York School of Nursing in 1944. She married Clarence Vivian Kirkland on April 5th, 1952.

They moved to Birmingham, AL where they started a family. In 1959 they moved to Pensacola, FL where they lived for 56 years. Norma practiced nursing for over 30 years at Sacred Heart Hospital and the Escambia Count y Corrections Facility. She belonged to Trinity Presbyterian Church where her and Clarence were active volunteers. She and her husband were avid RV campers, traveling in all the Continental US states. They donated their time to their children's school activities and the Manna Food Bank and the Cloud 9 Ranch.

Norma is survived by her three sons and their families; Jeff and Connie , Paul and Maggie and Dean and Debbie; her grandchildren, April, Ryan and James and a great grandchild, Austyn.

Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10am Friday, March 6, 2 015 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Frank Beall officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that a donation be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or alz.org.

Margaret Lenhart Kenward, 91, of Monongahela, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, in the Washington County Health Center. She was born Oct. 17, 1912, in Monongahela, a daughter of the late Edward C. and Bessie M. Caldwell Lenhart. Mrs. Kenward was a member of First Baptist Church in Monongahela, where she was very active and formerly held the position of financial secretary and the pastor's secretary. She and her husband traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, South America and Northern Africa. Survivors include her husband, Stanley B. Kenward, with whom she celebrated 64 years of marriage on June 15, 2004; one son, Robert B. Kenward and wife Marie of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two daughters, Virginia "Honey" Fogelgren of Afton, Va., and Sally Simonds of Maui, Hawaii; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Norma Kirkland and husband Clarence of Pensacola, Fla., and Dorothy Philbrick of Murrysville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Timothy Leach; and two brothers, William and Albert Lenhart. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the L.M. FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 West Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held Thursday, Sept. 16, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jack Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. Mrs. Cole was a member of the North Hills Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Gilbert E. Cole whom she married Aug. 1 ,1941; 4 daughters; Marlene Knopp of Indianapolis, IN, Beverly Cole and Corinne Cole, both of Dallas, TX and Kimberly Bates of British Columbia, Canada; 3 grandchildren: Jadon Bates, Cheryl Bates & Ami Zamora.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
