Stanley Brooks (Red) Kenward was born on 21 May 1912 in Bayshore, Suffolk, Long Island, New York.1,2 He and Margaret Lenhart were married on 15 June 1940.3 He died on 2 June 2012, at age 100, in Cedar Rapids, Linn, Iowa.1,2 He was buried in Monongahela Cemetery (Section 22), Monongahela, Washington, Pennsylvania.2

Stanley Brooks "Red" Kenward, 100, formerly of Monongahela, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was born May 21, 1912, in Bay Shore, N.Y., son of George and Sadie Burch Kenward.

After graduating from New York University in mechanical engineering, he moved to Monongahela, where he worked for Combustion Engineering. Following retirement, he became a volunteer emergency medical technician and driver for Tri-Community Ambulance. Mr. Kenward was a member of First Baptist Church of Monongahela.

Surviving are a son, Robert B. Kenward and wife Marie of Cedar Rapids; t wo daughters, Virginia "Honey" Fogelgren and husband John of Afton, Va. , and Sally Simonds of Maui, Hawaii; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Lenhart Kenward; a sister, Amy Ploeser; and a grandson, Timothy Leach.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Wednesday, June 6, in Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela. The Rev. Tim Bergan will officiate.
