Obituary
Febr uary 10, 1960 May 22, 2011 On Sunday, May 22, 2011, the good Lord declared a cease-fire in the war that our beloved Peggy waged against cancer, and took her home to those she had longed to see again. There will be a private Christian burial on Thursday, May 26, 2011 with a memorial service to follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Parish Hall, in Anderson, Texas. For those who wish to attend, the open tribute will be at 12 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Peggy was born February 10, 1960, the youngest of six children, to Robert and Suzanne Deeslie in Northfield, Ohio. Peggy was a devoted wife, beloved mother and Nana, as well as loyal friend and sister. She had been a long-time employee of Grant Prideco in the Human Resource Department. One of her most enduring qualities was her unique sense of humor even through the most trying of times. She was a true warrior who fought her illness with dignity, strength and determination. She was indeed an inspiration to all who knew her. She would like her beloved children and grandchildren to know that she is still protecting them and will continue to do so. She was preceded in death by her parents; oldest brother, William David; stepfather, G. S. Pierce; and best childhood friend, Janet Keelan Hamby. Peggy leaves behind her husband, Ernie; daughter, Kara Schulte and husband, Josh; son, Chad Arrington and wife, Ashley; three beloved grandchildren, Kendall and Shane Schulte and Layton Arrington . She is also survived by her sisters, Ann Schroeder and husband, Wil and Susan Deeslie ; brothers, Michael "Popeye" Deeslie and wife, Mary and Tom Deeslie ; sister-in-law, Peggy Bright Deeslie ; special niece, Shelly Deeslie ; other nieces and nephews, Janie Tolliver, Robin Deeslie , Brad Schroeder and wife, Christy, Jon Deeslie and wife, Jamie and Rob Deeslie ; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Courtney Ruple and to all of Peggy's health care professionals during her long battle. Peggy requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Navasota Animal Shelter, Navasota, TX. For those who would like to send condolences or share memories of Peggy, a guest book is available on-line through Memorial Funeral Chapel's website atwww.memorialfuneralchapel.com.
