FRANKFORD - Fay R. Ayers, 90, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007.

Mrs. Ayers was raised in Franklin and was the second of eight children born to Tomasina and Anthony Riggio. In 1942, she married Ernest E. Ayers of Frankford and they created a home for their family at Culver Lake.

Mrs. Ayers' life centered around her family and life-long friends. She was the glue that held a wide array of loved ones together, and her home was a gathering place filled with laughter and Sunday pancake breakfasts. Mrs. Ayers is survived by her children, Jane, Buzz, Lewis and Robert Ayers and their families; as well as her brother and sisters, nieces, nephews and life-long friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, at Christ Union Chapel in Culver Lake.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Blue Ridge Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 232, Branchville, N.J. 07826 or Christ Union Chapel, P.O. Box 25, Branchville, N.J. 07826.
