Larry F. Hanes, 67, of Buttermilk Hill, McConnelsville, went home to be with his Lord, family, and friends on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at 12Noon at his home. Larry was born March 26, 1944 in Zanesville to Francis (Frank) Hanes of Houston, Texas and the late Betty R. Engle Hanes who passed away July 22, 2010. Larry's professional occupations included being a self employed heating and air conditioning repairman, a bulldozer operator for Central Ohio Coal Company in Caldwell and he was a regional maintenance repairman for Super America. Larry enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Larry is survived by his devoted wife, Sandy (Vincent) Hanes, whom he married April 25, 1980; his sons, Larry "Frank" Hanes of Columbus, Bud and Theresa Hanes of Columbus, David and Bobbie Holmes of Roseville, and Sheldon Holmes of Byesville; his daughter, Shelly and Mike Wood of Johnstown; ten grandchildren; three great- grand-children; his sisters, Lorraine (Thomas) Lucas of Spartanburg, SC and Linda (Mike) Croswell of Houston, Texas; a special Brother and Sister, Jim and Sarah; and several nieces and nephews.
