Survived by daughters, Mrs. Mabel Austin and Mrs. Leona Lyon, both of Mansfield and Mrs. Lucille Batholomew of Cleveland; son, James W. Soper of Tacoma Park, Washington, D.C.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was the oldesrt member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Mrs. Soper, daugter of Well and Lydia Argetsinger Burley, was born in Mansfield on June 5, 1872. She was united in marriage on July 6, 1898, with Clinton E. Soper, who preceded her in death. Much of their marrried life was spent on the old Burley farm on Mulberry Hill.

A great-granddaughter of Ebenezer Burley, former vice president of Mansfield State College, Mrs. Soper was privileged to take part in the Mansfield centennial celebration in 1957.

Loved by both family and friends, Mrs. Soper was known by young and old as a true friend and helper in time of need. She was one of the original members of the Mansfield Seventh Day Adventist Church.
