Wilhelm (William) Snover was born on 28 August 1807 in Stillwater, Sussex, New Jersey.1 He and Eliza Jane Adair were married on 1 December 1832 in Senaca County, New York.2 He died on 12 October 1878, at age 71, in Hamilton County, Illinois.3

Died Oct. 12, 1878, William Snover, aged 71 years, 1 month and 17 days. Deceased was born in Sussex County, New Jersey, Aug. 26, 1807 in which he resided until he reached the age of 21 when he became a canal boatman on the Erie Canal, which occupation he followed until 1832. On Dec. 1, 1832, he married Eliza J. Adair of Senca County of New York and about the year 1839 came to Illinois and settled in the western wdge of Hamilton County, living within two miles of where he first settled until the day of his death. He was a church member for about 40 years before his death and living a strictly moral and temperate life, was loved and respected by all who knew him and thus passed from labor to reward.

Biography

John Anning Gustin was born on 25 May 1845 in Bradford County, Pennsylvania.1,2 He died on 11 February 1865, at age 19, in Fort Johnson, Charleston, South Carolina, Pennsylvania.3,2 He was buried in Baptist Hill Cemetery, Columbia Cross Roads, Bradford, Pennsylvania.2
Private- Civil War- Company A, 207th Regiment.2 Civil War Union Soldier. He was a private in Company A of the 207th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. His death occurred shortly after activity at Dabney's Mills, Hatcher's Run in early February, 1865. During that time, and especially on February 10, the Union forces unseated the last of the Confederate forces in their last attempt to defend Charleston. He died at Fort Johnson, Charleston Harbor.
