Erwin resided at 2128 Liberty Street Allentown where he died of a heart condition. He was buried at Upper Milford Cemetery, Old Zionsville, Lehigh Co. Pa.. He is survived by his wife Ellen, nee Roth, Hillpot, one son Luke Hillpot and one grandson. He is also survived by 2 sisters: Mrs. Anna Hendricks, Langhorne and Mrs. Carrie Shock, Bethlehem.

William F. Hillpot, 88, Frenchtown, NJ, died in Hunterdon Medical Center.
For many years he was a self employed hatcheryman owning and operating Hillpot Hatcheries, Frenchtown, NJ. They had one of the major chicken hatcheries in the Eastern United States with branches at Frenchtown, Freehold, Somerville, and Morristown; Easton and Norrisville, Pa. and Des Moines, Iowa. He invented the Tempador incubator, which can hold 40,000 eggs at one time; and hatch 1,000,000 chicks per year. At the time of his death he operated the Hillpot Laundry, Frenchtown, NJ.
Born in Frenchtown, he was a son of the late Reuben and Mary Rittenhouse Hillpot.
Former member of N.J. Poultry Association, life member of the American Poultry Association and the International Baby Chick Association. He was a member of Hunterdon County Tax Board, a Republican committeeman.He was a member of the Frenchtown Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow Lena M. Hillpot; three sons, Edward of Freehold, NJ, and Lawrence and Welling both of Frenchtown; three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Godown, Frenchtown, Mrs. Dorothy Shultz, Flagtown, NJ and Mrs. Lucile Baldwin, Columbia, MD; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He had six children:

Mrs. Hillpot, widow of Reuben Hillpot, lived for the last 10 years with her daughter, Mrs. Clark Burgoyne, of Merchantville, NJ.
Born in Stockton, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Green and Amanda Kerr Smith. She was a member of Frenchtown Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her daughter, are a foster daughter, Mrs. William Silvers, of Flemington; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Johnson Funeral Home, Frenchtown. The Rev. Joseph Shaw, pastor of Frenchtown Baptist Church, will officiate. Internment will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ.

Surviving are a brother, William F. Hillpot, Frenchtown, and nieces and nephews.
