He met and married Patricia Wright of Tonasket,July 30, 1966. They had 4 children, Joey, Donnie, Shannon, and Aaron. He worked with his Dad, Pat King as a plumber. He was an active Catholic, a Boy Scout Leader,and councilman for the town. He later became Mayor.

Ed was also a volunteer fireman. His Dad was when he was alive and his son Joey carries on the family tradition today. Ed passed with cancer in August of 1994.
