Mrs. Schlindwein worked as a welder and truck driver at the Kaiser ship yard in Vancover, WA during World War II.
She was a former member of Wayne Elks # 2181 Ladies Auxiliary, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 205, a former member of St Agnes Episcopal Church, Little Falls and attended St. Martins Episcopal Church in OR, She was also an avid Bowler in the "600 Bowling Club".

She is survived by one daughter: Jane Ruck of Lebanon, OR, one sister: Betty Rosenzweig of Elmwood Park, and 2 Grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter in 1994, a brother: Warren Congleton in 1999 and a sister Florence May De Brock in 2001.
Private cremation in Oregon. A graveside service will be held at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Northern Way Ministries, PO box 702, Lebanon,OR 97355.
