Ralph L. Richard, 83, of 333 Broad St., Emmaus, died Saturday in Cedarbrook, South Whitehall Township. He was the husband of Edna M. (Druckenmiller) Richard. They observed their 59th wedding anniversary in December.

He was a gardener at the Lehigh Country Club for 10 years until retiring. Before that, he was a machinist for 24 years at Bonney Forge, Allentown.

Born in New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Warren and Kate M. (Little) Richard.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus.

Survivors: Wife; daughters, Mrs. Gloria E. Sieber of Breinigsville and Elaine, wife of Dr. Richard Keim of Emmaus; sons, Donald D. of Allentown and George D. of Atlanta, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchi ldren.

She was a cook and baker for the East Penn School District for many years until retiring.

Born in Emmaus, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Gertrude Druckenmiller.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus, and its Altar Guild and Dorcas Society.

She was also a member of the Emmaus Garden Club and Senior Citizens.

Survivors: Daughters, Elaine G., wife of Dr. Richard Keim, with whom she resided, and Gloria E. Sieber of Breinigsville; son, George D. of Grayson, Ga.; sister, Naomi Fritsch of Quakertown, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. A son, Donald D., died in 1991.

Born in Red Hill, he was a son of the late Nathan G. and Katie B. (Renninger) Schwenk.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in French West Africa in airway communications. He was a member of American Legion Post 184, Palm.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Red Hill.

He was a member of the Upper Perkiomen Rotary Club.

Born Jan. 2, 1911, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Lloyd I. and Mary Edith (Zook) Wolfgang. His wife, Lucy I. (Hockenberry) Wolfgang of Belleville, whom he married June 1, 1940, survives. Also surviving are: sister and brother, Florence Hartley and Raymond L. Wolfgang, both of Lewistown He was a 1928 graduate of Lewistown High School. He was service foreman for Bell of Pennsylvania for 45 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, State College; the BPOE 1600, State College; the Telephone Pioneers; the Mt. Nittany Sportsman's Club; the Retirees' Bowling League; and was with the Boy Scouts for 20 years. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling, and hunting. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, with the Rev. Robert M.A.L. Miller officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
