Dr. Julius Trestler [sic] Vissel, prominent Roaring Spring physician and for 25 years a practitioner in the state, died at his home on New street, Roaring Spring, at 3.15 o'clock this morning, following a stroke of paralysis suffered Wednesday night at his home.
Dr. Vissel was active in the influenza epidemic at Roaring Spring and vicinity and it is believed the stroke followed as a result of his weakened condition, owing to the large amount of work. He failed to regain consciousness before death.

He located at Baker's Summit, where he remained a year, then opening an office at Woodbury, where he was located for thirteen years. In 1903 he removed to Perkasie and took a post graduate course at the Philadelphia college. He came to Roaring Spring in 1911.
Dr. Vissel was married on Oct. 2, 1890, to Miss Mary Elizabeth Weidemyer of Pipersville, Bucks county, and is survived by his widow and one daughter, Mrs. Martha Loose, and one grandson, Donald Visel [sic] Loose. Also one brother, William of Camden, N. J.
