3 Robert "Bob" Waguespack
Robert J. Waguespack, 63, of Port Neches died Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born on December 26, 1943 in Aurora, CO. A native of China, Texas, he graduated from Central Catholic High School (Kelly) in 1962 and Lamar University in 1968 with a B.S. in industrial engineering. He later was certified as a professional engineer. Bob lived in Port Neches for the last 31 years, working primarily in the inspection department at Texaco/Motiva in Port Arthur beginning in 1968 until retiring in 1999. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 2461, both in Port Neches. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Bob was known for his generosity towards others and caring spirit. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. More than all, he enjoyed the times he spent with his friends and family. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Pat; sons Jeff Waguespack, MD and his wife Kelly of College station, and Keith Waguespack, MD and his wife Keele of Irving; sisters Joyce LeBlanc and her husband Leland of Jacksonville, and Lois Coco and her husband Dave of Port Neches, four loving grandchildren Karly, Kaleigh, and Kendall Waguespack of College Station, and Jordan Waguespack of Irving. Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald, and his parents Leroy and Mae Waguespack. A gathering of family and friends was held from 5:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at Broussard's in Nederland, with a Knights of Columbus rosary being held at 6:00 pm and a Christian Vigil at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 2:00 pm followed by interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. A visitation and dinner will follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Port Neches. The family wishes to thank all of the friends and family for their prayers and support over the last months.
