Biography
Matthew James Anson was born on 16 August 1965 in Sandusky, Erie, Ohio.
1,2 He died on 7 October 2007, at age 42, in Independence, Jackson, Missouri.
1,2 He was buried in Lobb Cemetery, Independence, Jackson, Missouri.
2 Matthew James Anson was a Jack-of-All-Trades. Matthew James Anson is the son of Lester & Clara Anson. He was the youngest of eight children. His family moved around a lot but he spent most of his childhood years growing up in and around Lincoln, Nebraska.
He was married to Kelly Colleen (Klingler - Conway) Anson on December 7, 1988. He became an instant father to Kelly's two young sons, John Michael "Buddy" Conway and Sean Patrick Conway. Matt and Kelly raised their family in Independence, Missouri.
Matt was a hard working man who supported his family and taught his sons a good work ethic. He was a carpenter, roofer, electrician, plumber, and jack-of-all-trades. There wasn't much that he couldn't do. He enjoyed coaching his sons' basketball and baseball teams as well.
Matt enjoyed so many hobbies and lived life to the fullest. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, camp and fish, he raced vintage motorcycles, rode four-wheel ATVs, he belonged to a Horseshoe club, golf league and softball league.
Matt was very generous and loved to help others whenever he could. If he only had a dime and a nickel, he'd give you the dime if he thought you needed it.
Matt loved Full-Gospel church worship, he was a Full-Gospel minister and served the Lord until the day he died.
He left his family far too soon, when he was killed in a work accident. Our Matthew had a huge heart, a strong back, a big voice, and a distinct laugh. His presence is so sorely missed in our lives.
"Matt was one of the best men I knew. He was a devoted husband and father, instilling in his boys a level of ethics and compassion rarely seen today. He loved a good laugh, but never at the expense of others. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication for his family, his fellow man, and his God. For whatever reason, his work on earth was finished. It will be on us, as a family, to not let his influence be lost also. ...The honor of having known him, however briefly leaves me compelled to choose my words carefully, so as not to tarnish the armor this valiant man wore." - Steven Klingler (Matthew Anson's brother-in-law)
