She is survived by four nieces, Cathy Reade of Middleburg, Pa., Barbara Chammings of Blairstown, Patty Cyr of Las Vegas, and Kathleen Dillon of Pompton Lakes, N.J.; four nephews, Richard Chammings of Easton, Pa., Jacob Chammings of Phillipsburg, N.J., Tom Dillon of Hudson and James Dillon of Strasburg, Pa.; and one sister-in-law, Betty Chammings, all of whom provided for her care.

She died Saturday, April 5, 2003, in Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

Born Sept. 11, 1921, in Columbia, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Matilda (Mericle) Chammings.

Mrs. Davis was a 1939 graduate of Blairstown High School in New Jersey and was a bookkeeper in a bank in Newark, N.J.

She is survived by her husband, Harry M. Davis; a sister, Ruth Walton of Deland, Fla.; and nine nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Chammings. The Rev. Timothy D. Keller will officiate at services. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Friends may call from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel. Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements.
