FARR -DOROTHY MARION FURMAN, 77 of 14 Hollowcrest Road, Tunkhannock, a lifetime resident of Wyoming County died Friday morning, Dec. 24, 1999 at the Carpenter Care Center in Tunkhannock as the result of an illness. She was born April 4, 1922 on Farr Hollow, Forkston, Pa. to the late Myron Farr and the late Clara Sands. Her stepfather was Lyle Frank Post. She married Reginald Furman, who preceded her in death on June 12, 1997. She was a housekeeper and a member of the Forkston United Methodist Church and its WSCS. She was also a member of the Mehoopany Women’s Club, the Forkston Community Club and the Forkston Grange. She is survived by two sons, Royer and his wife, Mary Ann of Retta and James and his wife, Carol of Sugar Run; two daughters, Patti McMicken and her husband, Neale of Tunkhannock and Bonnie Payne and her husband, David of Brazoria, Texas; several nieces and nephews, one great-great-nephew, 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the Harding-Litwin Funeral home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the North Flat Cemetery, Laceyville, Pa. Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
