SANDWICH - Leah M. Wiborg, 62, of Sandwich, died Monday, Dec. 26, at Valley West Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Beverage Family Funeral Home in Sandwich with the Rev. Paul Banister officiating. Burial will be in Pratt Oaklawn Cemetery in Sandwich. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Wiborg was born Feb. 19, 1943, in Cabery, Ill., to Frank and Marjorie Rasor. She married Paul Wiborg on Dec. 30, 1961, in Dwight.

She worked in telemarketing and most recently as a crossing guard for the City of Sandwich with her husband.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Frank (Sandra) of Ooltewan, Tenn., and Corey (Ann) of Somonauk; three daughters, Marjorie Gale of Mobile, Ala., Charlene Fischer of Hinckley and Paula Wiborg of Lincoln, Ill.; five brothers, Tom Rasor of Mariette, Okla., Wayne Rasor of Ziegler, Ill., Robert Rasor of Denton, Texas, William Rasor of Thompsonville, Ill., and James Leadingham of Benton, Ill.; five sisters, Mary Jane Sinkular of Coal City, Cheryl (Gordon) Veleto of Thompsonville, Kathy Dailey of Cullom, Ill., Marjorie Rasor of Danville and Ruby Jo Rasor of Carroll, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Donald Rasor.

Memorials may be directed to the Sandwich Police Department D.A.R.E. program.

SANDWICH - Mr. Paul A. Wiborg, 68, of Sandwich, passed away Feb. 7, 2009, at Edward Hospital in Naperville.

Born April 5, 1940, in Gardner, he was the son of the late Jesse and Ellen (Metz) Wiborg.

Paul retired from Plano Molding, where he worked as an electrician. He was most known to the community as the school crossing guard that waved to each and everyone. He was also known for leaning on his truck in the driveway at his home on Castle Street, waving to those who past.

He is survived by his children, Margarie Gale of Gulf Port, Miss., Charlene Fischer of Sandwich, Frank Jesse (Sandra) Wiborg of Somonauk, Paula Wiborg of Sandwich and Corey (Ann) Wiborg of Somonauk. He also leaves behind his special granddaughter, Shayelin Wiborg of Sandwich; sisters, Susan Bailey of Streator, Lorraine Hill of Ottawa; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leah; brothers and sisters, Elsie, Roy, David, Katherine, Donald, Lyle and Thelma.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at the Beverage Family Funeral Home Sandwich Chapel with Rev. Paul Banister officiating.

Interment will follow at Pratt Oak Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, at the funeral home.

Surviving are his wife, the former Dolores Styck, whom he married March 26, 1940, at Sacred Heart Church, Goodrich; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Judi Clodi of Arvada, Colo.; one daughter, Marcia Lamie of Herscher; four grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Opal St. Germaine and Salome Dalton; and three brothers, Elmo, Voyal and Louis Clodi.
Mr. Clodi was a lifelong farmer and was a part-time employee of Bradley Roper Corp. for a number of years.
He was a member of the Kankakee County Farm Bureau.
