Visitation will be for one hour prior to services, which will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Froelich Memorial Home, El Paso. The Rev. Jeff Thompson will officate.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, El Paso.

Memorials may be made to the El Paso Rescue Squad.

She was born April 22, 1947, in Kankakee, the daughter of Elmer and Ruby Goodrich Brassard.

Surving are her husband, Dale L. Miller, Sr. whom she married April 24, 1965, in El Paso; her mother of Wilmington; two sons, Dale L. Miller, Jr., of Pekin and Jeff A. Miller of Gridley; a daughter, Lisa Cummings of Kappa; four sisters, Betty Illum of Largo, Fla., Vera Nowman of Bradley, Iona Tedford of Ponderosa, N.M., and Rosemary Irps of Kankakee; six brothers, Donald Brassard of Greenup, Bernard Brassard of Spring City, Tenn., Raymond Brassard pf Seneca, Richard Brassard of Channahon, David Brassard of Ignacia, Colo., and Larry Brassard of South Holland, Mich.; and two grandchildren.

Her father, three brothers and one sister are deceased.

Mrs. Miller was leaning supervisor with Associated Services at Dupont, Co., El Paso, for four years.

Roger Lee Brassard was born on 10 November 1948 in Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois.1 He died on 27 July 1968, at age 19.1 He was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington, Will, Illinois.2
Roger Lee Brassard was a Lehon Paprer Mill.2 A Wilmington Route 1 man died Saturday, July 27, when his car went off a gravel road and struck a tree south of the Grundy County Home in Wauponsee Township.

Roger Brassard, 26, was pronounced dead on arrival at Morris Hospital. He had been thrown from the car and suffered multiple injuries.

Residents of the county home reportedly heard the crash and the horn blowing. They reported the incident to the Grundy County Sheriff's office.

The car evidently went out of control, sheriff's deputies said, and ran off the road about 200 feet before going through a barbed-wire fence and stricking a tree.

The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the accident occured, deputies said.

Mr. Brassard resided in the Wilmington area for the past three months. He was employed by the Lehon Paper Mill. He previously lived in Campus, Ill.

He is suvived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Brassard; five sisters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Illum of Momence, Mrs. Samuel (Vera) Nowman of Bradley, Mrs, Terry (Iona) Hilger of South Haven, Mich., Mrs. Gilbert (Rosemary) Irps of Kankakee and Mrs. Dale (Linda) Miller of El Paso, Ill.; eight brothers, Donald and David, both of Wilmington, Richard of Minooka, Elmer of Braceville, Gerald of Braidwood, Raymond of Westmont, Ill., Bernard of Rockville, Md, and Larry of South Haven. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Frank (Margie) Rasor.

Service were held in the DesRochers Funeral Home, Wilmington, at 2 p.m. Tyesday, July 30th, with the Reverend Ralph Conway, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Wilmington, officiating.

Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington.

Samuel W. Nowman, 89, of Bradley, passed away Monday (July 1, 2013) at Presence Our Lady of Victory in Bourbonnais. He was born June 17, 1924, in Ottawa, the son of Samuel and Phoebe Nowman. Samuel served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for General Mills, then Henkle, retiring after 32 years of service. He enjoyed coin and gun collecting, and watching Westerns. Samuel is survived by his wife, the former Vera Brassard, of Bradley, whom he married March 27, 1943; his children; Ace (Laura) Nowman, of Florida, Lodeane Mitchell, of Kentucky, Dorothy Nebergall, of Arkansas, Sandra Smith, of Bradley, Edward (Mona) Nowman, of Bourbonnais, Tad (Marianne), of Bloomington, Jane (Terry) Odette, of Bradley, Cindy Laxton, of Arkansas, Donna (Terry) Ford, of Florida, Chuck Nowman, of Lincoln, and Mary Ann (Buck) Moreland, of Bradley; 45 grandchildren, 75-plus great-grandchildren, 10-plus great-great-grandchildren; a brother, William Neff, of Minnesota; a daughter-in-law, Judy Nowman, of Bradley; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Chester, Johnny, Sam and Michael Nowman; many sisters, a brother, and several grandchildren. A time of gathering will take place from 10 a.m. Friday until the noon service at Schreffler Life Story Funeral Homes, Bourbonnais Chapel, followed by interment at Kankakee Memorial Gardens, Aroma Township.

Gilbert Alvin Irps was a Truck Driver.2 Gilbert A. Irps, 90, of Kankakee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday (Oct. 28, 2014), at his home.

He was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Chebanse, the son of George and Constance (Risser)Irps. Gilbert married Rosemary Brassard September 30, 1950 in Kankakee.

He worked as a truck driver for DeSelm Lumber Company for 30 years and as a mechanic for the Kankakee Valley Park District for 28 years, until his retirement in December 2007. From 1941 to 1946, Gilbert proudly served our country as a U.S. Navy Seabee during World War II. He was a mem¬ber of the Aroma Park American Legion, a 63-year member of the Seabee Veterans of America, Vintage Squadron Flight One, and a proud participant of the Honor Flight Chicago - Chicago Vets to Washington, D.C., in 2009. He also was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ, served as a past master of St. Anne Masonic Lodge and past worthy patron of Eastern Star 279. His hobbies included collecting International Harvester wrenches, antiques and he was an avid White Sox fan.

Surviving are his wife, Rosemary; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lana K. Pourroy, of Sycamore, Karen and Linden White, of Bradley, and Connie and Mark Jauch, of Kankakee; four sons and daughters-in- law, Carl and Deborah Irps, of Kankakee, Terry and Yvonne Irps, of Kankakee. Randy and Beth Irps, of Bourbonnais, and Gary and Ginger Irps, of St. Charles; 16 grandchildren; 23 great¬grandchildren; brother. Dale Irps, of Florida; sister, Janice Geisinger, of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents: and one grandchild, Adam Carl Irps.

Burial in Kankakee Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
