Edwin George Buckley was an Owner-Operator Buckley's Garage.4,5 Edwin Buckley of Middleville-Stillwater Road, Stillwater, died Tuesday in Newton Memorial Hospital following a short illness.

Born in Stillwater, he had resided there all of his life and was the owner-operator of Buckley's Garage for 30 years.

He also had been a school bus operator for the past 31 years.

Survivng are his widow, Susan J.; son, George of Spokane, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. Leah Cook of Allamuchy and 15 grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, Newton, with the Rev. Walter Cook, pastor of the Stillwater Presbyterian Church and the Rev. Larry Brasher, pastor of the Stilllwater United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Stillwater Cemetery.

Mrs. Buckley owned and operated Buckley Garage in Stillwater along with her late husband, Edwin, for may years before retiring.

She was a member of Tranquility United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, George of Spokane, Wash.; a daughter, Leah Cook of Allamuchy; 15 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are by Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton.

Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and had worked in the printing industry for many years. Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Jeanne (Schmidt); three children, Lori (Dale) Smith of Pickens, SC, Debra (Bill) Adams of Covert, David (Bridget) of Floyd's Knobs, IN; five grandchildren, Shanna, Courtney, Jason, Aspen, Briar; four great grandchildren; a sister, Juanita Moore of Palm Springs, CA; a brother. Carl of Benton Harbor. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gerald. Following his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at the

SNOVER, Jeanne A. age 83, of Bangor, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. Jeanne was born February 2, 1933 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Martin and Anna Schmidt.

Jeanne enjoyed fishing, boating and gardening at Scott Lake. She loved reading books on various subjects, especially romance novels. After raising her family she fulfilled her love for numbers by obtaining a business degree from Davenport College, Kalamazoo and worked as a bookkeeper for many years.

Surviving are her 3 children, Lori (Dale) Smith of Pickens, SC, Debra (Bill) Adams of Covert, David (Bridget) of Floyd's Knobs, IN; 5 grandchildren, Shanna, Courtney, Jason, Aspen, Briar; 5 great grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Carl of Watervliet.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert, her parents and a brother Robert.

Following her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at the BANGOR CHAPEL, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, on March 12th from 10AM-12 PM. Private burial will take place at a later date in North Shore Memory Garden.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Bangor Public Library; 420 Division St.; Bangor, MI 49013.

She is survived by her husband Richard Sr.

She is also survived by her children, Richard Jr. (Debi), Randall (Cindy), Darlene (Mike) Alonzi, Robert (Sherry), Lori (Scott) Marsh, Linda (Jeff) Corbin; her brother, Douglass (Leota) Snover; her 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Viola Snover.

Mrs. Hottmann graduated from Lake Orion High School in 1955. She dedicated 40 years to Girl Scouts.

The funeral took place June 10 at the Oxford United Methodist Church. Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Lake Orion Chapel, Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home.
