Catherine Charlotte "Dolly" Horn

of Melbourne, Arkansas

Catherine Charlotte "Dolly" Horn, daughter of the late Harry Freyman and Laura Lear Freyman, was born August 19, 1926 in Packerton, Pennsylvania. She departed this life April 11, 2014 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 87 years, 7 months and 23 days. She was united in marriage to George Horn August 17, 1947 in Packerton, Pennsylvania and to this union two children were born. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. During her working years, she and her husband George owned and operated Lehighton News Agency in Pennsylvania. After retiring and relocating to Melbourne, Arkansas, she enjoyed socializing and dancing at the Senior Citizens Center in Brockwell and the Melbourne VFW. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Melbourne Community Church.

She is survived by one son: George Horn, III of the home; one daughter and son-in-law: Laura and Jeff Snyder of Melbourne; one sister: Gilda Bennett of Lehighton, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren: George Horn (Nicole), Georgette Christman (Anderew) and Matthew Snyder (Bethany); five great grandchildren: Whitney King, Charles King, Cody Snyder, Madison Snyder and Jocelyn Horn and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother: John Freyman.

No memorial service is planned at this time.
