Funeral services were Monday afternoon at the Vogt Funeral Home for Elmer J. Simons, who died Friday afternoon at the Ingham County Rehabilitation center following a long sickness.

Elmer Simons was born in Dansville, June 26, 1890. He was one of 3 children born to Chancey and Ellen Simons. Practically all of his life was lived in Dansville

On February 14, 1914, he was united in marriage to Edith Baguley of Tawas City. They had 10 children, one passing away in infancy. Those surviving are Donald Simons, Dean Simons, Douglas Simons, Mrs. Keith Gunthorpe, Miss Maxine Simons and Dale Simons, all of Lansing, Mrs. Anne Alchin of Willliamston, Mrs June Mead of Springport and Elmer, Jr., at home. Also surviving are his wife, Edith, 26 grandchhilldren, 2 sisters, Mrs. Allie Raymond of Ypsilanti and Mrs. Carrie LaFountain of Lansing.

Rev. Robert Brubaker, pastor of the Methodist church, officated at the services with burial in Fairview cemetery. Pallbearers were Ralph Gunthorpe, Allan Foy, Don Simon, Allan Cummings, Chester Hegelmo of Lansing and Charles Woods of Dansville.
