1 Ronald E. Nonamaker, 72, of Vienna, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Cleveland Clinic following an extended illness.
He was born May 14, 1945, in Parkersburg, son of the late Daryl and Leona Bailey Nonamaker.
Ronald was a 1963 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served his country during the Vietnam War. Later he chose a career in public service, first as an officer in the Parkersburg Police Department, then later as a communications dispatcher with the Vienna Police Department. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the 36th Street Church of Christ. He enjoyed spending time camping, fishing, hunting, exploring all over this great country of ours and following his grandkids. He loved his Mountaineers, cheered on the Hokies and recently adopted the Boilermakers.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon Bibbee Nonamaker; son, Ronald S. Nonamaker and his wife, Danielle; son, Kenneth Nonamaker; three grandchildren, Evelyn, Brendan and Cole Nonamaker; brothers, Daryl "Bud", Donald and James Nonamaker; and sisters, Joyce Young and Frances Arthur.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his father in-law and mother in-law, Howard and Vera Bibbee.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave, Vienna with Kevin Bibbee officiating, assisted by Mark Mason. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery with full military honors by American Legion Post #15 of Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
